I teamed up with Ranok Publisher in Kharkiv, Ukraine, to bring a special touch to the Ukrainian translations of Sarah Dessen’s novels. What started as a one-time project grew into something bigger, covering several book designs. This work combines my love for lettering with the beauty of storytelling.
I dove into this project eager to give these novels a unique look. I started with sketches in Procreate, drawing inspiration from the stories themselves. Then, I moved my designs into Adobe Illustrator, where I polished them into the final, sharp designs you see on the covers and spines. This wasn’t just about making the books look good; it was about making sure they spoke to readers even before the first page was turned.
I paid extra attention to how the spine designs worked with the covers, making sure everything looked perfect together on a shelf. It’s all about the details, making sure each book not only stands out but also feels like part of a series.
